Dear colleagues!

    According to the Decree of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov No: 9286 issued on 17.12.2007 International Scientific Conference “Mahmyt Kashgarly – the Founder of Scientific Turkology” will be jointly held in Ashgabat, on February 21-22, 2008, by the National Cultural Centre of Turkmenistan “Miras”, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, and Supreme Council of Turkmenistan on science and Technology under the President of Turkmenistan.
 

    The Conference sections will be as follows:
1. Mahmyt Kashgarly and his Epoch.
2. Mahmyt Kashgarly and folklore of Turkic people.
3. Place of Turkic languages in “Dictionary of Turkic dialects” of Mahmyt Kashgarly
4. Mahmyt Kashgarly and interaction of Literature of Turkic people.
5. Mahmyt Kashgarly and modern Turkological science.
 

    All interested to take part in the conference are kindly invited to send a short thesis (not exceeding 1 pages, using the Times New Roman 14 font and 1.5 inter-line interval) to the organizing committee. Deadline – January 30, 2008.
 

    Besides, please, make sure to supply your personal details (first name, family name, middle name, date and place of birth, passport number, place and date of issue, validity, place of employment, current position or title, home and office telephone number, fax number, e-mail and home address) and a copy of the passport.
